Located on an 8.4-acre site in Portland west of the Casco Bay Bridge at the site of an abandoned rail spur, this new 62,000-SF two story facility will consolidate existing US Department of Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Saco and Portland, enhancing VA outpatient services.
The new building will increase veterans’ access to a core set of services and additional specialty care in a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient health care facility. A broad range of services will be provided including lab work, dental and eye care, mental health care, and rehabilitation services. An adjacent 382-space covered parking garage is also included as part of the project.
The development team includes JB Brown & Sons, Landry/French Construction, Smith Group Architecture and Gorrill Palmer. Construction is expected to begin Spring 2020.
