Brick North

Award-Winning Restoration of a 1904 Industrial Building

Brick North, a 1904 industrial building, formerly known as the Maine Central Railroad Car Repair Shop/Planing Mill, was carefully restored into a thriving arts and entertainment hub at Thompson’s Point.

After sitting idle for several years, the building had deteriorated significantly and required major renovation, including structural reinforcement and repairs, reinforcement and replacement of the roof, and all new systems throughout.

Brick North is now home to well-known Maine businesses, including CellarDoor Winery, a 5,000-SF tasting bar, event and retail space; and Bissell Bros. with 11,000 SF of production and tasting space. The project is seeking LEED Silver certification.
