Getting Personal with Nick Gaddar, Assistant Project Manager
Where did you grow up.
South Portland.
What did you do after high school.
After high school, I went to the University of Maine at Orono and earned a degree in Construction Management. It was the best four years of my life where I met lots of new people.
What would your closest friend say is your greatest attribute.
Definitely my sense of humor. I try to make others laugh and make their day a little bit brighter.
Family.
I just recently got married. Stephanie and I met in an elevator and didn’t know we were both going to visit the same person. We have two two dogs, Bruschi and Gisele, and yes, they’re named after the Patriots’ Legend and Tom Brady’s wife.
Do you speak any other languages.
My dad was born and raised in Mexico so I speak some Spanish, but am embarrassed to say not fluently.
Favorite place to travel.
Miami. I love the culture and the great architecture. Although I’m in construction, I have an appreciation for architecture because my dad is an architect. Miami is definitely different than any other place I’ve visited. And I also love the heat!
What is something else we might not know.
I love music. All genres of music, but especially Hip Hop and Rap. I’ve been writing and freestyling rap for years.
Hobbies.
I’m a huge sports guy. My entire family has always been into sports. My dad and brother both played college football. After college, I coached high school basketball for three years for South Portland. I’m still very active in sports and play in softball, flag football, and basketball leagues.
Dream occupation.
I’d love to be a quarterback for a professional football team.
What do you want to do when you retire.
I want to be a golf course ranger somewhere south where it’s warm and I can just relax.
What do you enjoy most about working at Landry/French.
I love the people at Landry/French! Construction tends to be a stressful job, but everybody here has a great attitude and is good at their jobs. I enjoy coming to work every day.
